How can we empower evidence-based systemic change that advances equity? This was the central question raised by the AAAS-IUSE Initiative’s 2021 blog series. Over the course of the year, we learned about advancing accessibility in STEM, building engagement through student centered learning, envisioning dimensions of equity in academic ecosystems, and enriching education to grow inclusion.
During this event, we held a conversation with the 2021 editors to reflect on diversity, equity, and inclusion, examine the STEM education landscape, and discuss the opportunities and barriers for implementing evidence-based strategies that can transform undergraduate STEM education.
