Wendy Smith (they/she) is the director of the Center for Transformative Teaching and a Willa Cather Research Professor of Mathematics in the Center for Science, Mathematics, and Computer Education and the Mathematics Department. Their interests include improving equitable STEM teaching and learning in PK-12 and higher education, as well as equity-oriented institutional change designed to improve structures and processes and that fosters student belonging.
