Shim Lew is an Associate Professor of TESOL at the University of West Florida. She

received a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education with an emphasis on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on multilingual/multicultural education, teacher education, and disciplinary literacy in STEM subjects. She has led multiple grant projects bridging language, science, and technologies. Her recent work has been published in Science Education, Educational Review, Applied Linguistics Review, and Information and Learning Sciences.
