Nita A. Tarchinski is the Project Manager of the Sloan Equity and Inclusion in STEM Introductory Courses (SEISMIC) Collaboration, led by the University of Michigan. SEISMIC’s Phase One included nine other large, public, research institutions as partners. SEISMIC is now in Phase Two and includes public and private institutions. Tarchinski coordinates multi-institutional projects like the STEM Equity Learning Community (SELC) project described in this blog post, leads grant-writing for the collaboration, and facilitates multidisciplinary, multi-role, and multi-institutional collaborative activity. She received her M.A in Educational Leadership and Policy in 2021 and her B.S. in Physics Education in 2018, both from the University of Michigan.
