Minkyoung Kim is an Assistant Professor of Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Tampa (UT). Before joining UT,

she served as an Assistant Professor at the University of West Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the same field. She has extensive industry experience as a Business Consultant at IBM and an Instructional Designer for multiple organizations. Her research focuses on learner-centered instructional design and emerging learning technologies, with grant-funded projects in virtual simulation, VR, and AI in education. She has received multiple awards from the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), including first place in the Emerging Learning Technology award in 2023.
