Michelle Snyder is a Professor of Biology at Towson University. Her research program focuses on the characterization of cellular mechanisms underlying host-pathogen interactions and has been supported by NIH R15 and R16 grants. Throughout her time at Towson, she has sought to provide opportunities for student involvement in research both in her research laboratory and in CURE classes and to enhance student professional development while involved in these experiences. She contributes to the coordination of student and faculty professional development for the NSF IUSE project described in this blog post. In addition, she serves as co-Program Director for the NIH-funded Bridges to the Baccalaureate and Bridges to the Doctorate programs at Towson University.
