Lynette M. Williamson, Ed.D., RHIA, CCS, CPC, FAHIMA has been in the field of Health Information Management (HIM) for over

thirty years. She has taught in online modalities for many years and has extensive experience in course development, programmatic curriculum, and assessment. Dr. Williamson’s research interests include student engagement, AI use in classroom activities, and success in the distance education environment. In 2021, she received the AHIMA Making Dreams Come True Educator Award. She has served on both CAHIIM and the Commission on Certification for Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM). Served as the President of the Health Information Management Association of Hawaii (HIMAH) in 2023-2024.
