Luanna Prevost, Ph.D.

Dr. Luanna Prevost is an associate professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of South Florida. She obtained her Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of Georgia and completed a postdoctoral research assistantship in Science Education at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on the assessment of student learning, professional development, and institutional change. She is also interested in how professional development program design can be used to support students in STEM, particularly those from traditionally underserved populations. Dr. Prevost serves as Chair of the 4DEE Subcommittee of the Ecological Society of America. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the new NSF RCN-UBE on Transforming Ecology Education to 4D.
