Dr. Kathleen Browne served for 30 years in Rider University's Departments of Geological, Environmental and Marine Sciences and Earth and Chemical Sciences,

retiring June 2023 as Associate Professor emerit. Her science research included the formation of stromatolites, restoration of riparian buffers, and lake eutrophication. Her science education research includes effective strategies to help students improve their evidence-based scientific explanations and explorations of civic issues that require science. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor for Rider University while continuing work on science education projects.
