Joi-Lynn Mondisa, Ph.D.

Joi-Lynn Mondisa is an Associate Professor in the

Department of Industrial & Operations Engineering and an Engineering Education faculty member at the University of Michigan. Her teaching and research interests focus on engineering management and operations and engineering education and mentoring research.  In her research, she examines mentoring approaches, experiences, and intervention programs that broaden participation in higher education.

Mondisa joined the University of Michigan faculty in the Fall of 2016. Previously, she worked in industry for ten years in the areas of manufacturing, operations, technical sales, and publishing. She earned a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an M.B.A from Governors State University, and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Purdue University.
