
John Jackman, Ph.D.

Dr. Jackman is a former program director in the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation where he served as a co-lead program director for the Improving Undergraduate STEM Education: Education and Human Resources (IUSE: EDU) Program.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University. He is currently on the faculty of Iowa State University as an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering. He is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers where he has served as president of the Manufacturing and Design Division. In 2018, he received the John L. Imhoff Global Excellence Award for Industrial Engineering Education from American Society of Engineering Education.
