Ji Hye Shin is a research associate at the University of West Florida and an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University.

She holds a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education from Georgia State University. Her research focuses on multilingual education, culturally responsive pedagogy, online learning, and multimodal literacy. She also explores multilingual learners’ self-efficacy, agency, and beliefs, considering their diverse social, educational, community, and linguistic experiences. Her recent work has been published in Applied Linguistics Review, TESOL International Journal, International Journal of Multilingualism, and Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
