Gustavo Menezes is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering at

Cal State LA, as well as the Principal Investigator of the NSF project “Transforming STEM Education using an Asset-Based Ecosystem Model.” His current work focuses on fostering growth-based learning environments that empower students to leverage their diverse interests, skills, and cultural backgrounds to achieve their unique versions of success.
