Erica Gerace is a Program Manager of Genomic Education and Experiential

Learning at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. As a teaching professor at Georgetown University, she implemented a course based undergraduate research experience (CURE) in molecular genetics and developed other contextualized approaches to illustrate biological concepts and the process of science. At JAX, Dr. Gerace has designed and authored a range of in-person and digital experiences for high school students and undergraduates. She manages the Summer Student Program for undergraduates in Farmington, CT and leads the design and instruction for the Virtual Cancer Genomics Program. Dr. Gerace serves as the Program Director for an NHGRI-funded project, Genomics in Action, and collaborates with faculty in the Connecticut State Colleges and University system to design digital modules on genetics and genomics for two-year college students.
