
Eleanor Sayre, Ph.D.

Dr. Eleanor Sayre is a program officer in the Directorate for STEM Education and the Division of Undergraduate Education.
At the NSF, she serves as a co-lead for the IUSE program, with a focus on PIs and institutions who are new to IUSE. She also works with the programs for Building Capacity in STEM Education Research (BCSER), Mid-Career Advancement (MCA), and the Future of Semiconductors (FuSe). Dr. Sayre earned a BA in physics from Grinnell College, and an MST and PhD in physics education from the University of Maine. As a rotating program officer, she is on leave from Kansas State University, where she is a Professor in the Physics Department.
