Cathy Ishikawa, Ph.D.

Dr. Cathy Ishikawa is a lecturer in the Biological Sciences Department and interim co-director of the Center for Science and Math Success.

She is a co-PI on two NSF-sponsored projects designed to support faculty in implementing course-based undergraduate research and project-based learning (SIRIUS II, Project-ACE). Her current research examines the effects of incorporating authentic projects or research into courses, assessing changes in students’ affective measures and exploring possible barriers these projects may introduce for students with disabilities.
