The purpose of this lightning talk is to share insights learned after 3 years of an IUSE Project, Eco-STEM: Transforming STEM Education Using an Asset-based Ecosystem Model. This projected consisted of several faculty Communities of Practices, the development and piloting of a Peer Observation Tool, and development of several assessment tools. This talk highlights learnings related to understanding the culture of engineering in order to create change, looking for ways to meet people where they are at, including students, faculty, and staff, and finally, imagining what different systems look like that disrupt barriers to inclusion.
