Thomas Veague is the Project Director and Co-Principal Investigator for the NSF-funded Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE) Initiative at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). The AAAS-IUSE Initiative seeks to synthesize and disseminate evidence-based research about undergraduate STEM teaching and learning. Thomas works to build innovative and engaging opportunities for STEM professionals to connect and share ideas. In his previous role as Vice President of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), he convened the industry around accelerating the transition towards a renewable energy economy. Passionate about environmental science, Thomas also led teams of citizen scientists, conducted species surveys, and participated in research studies at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. Thomas holds a B.A. from Knox College in Environmental Studies.
